Why should I run a partner workshop?

Working with partners gets your practice in front of a group of people you may not have been able to reach on your own. There are many people in pain in your community that could benefit from your practice's excellent service but not everyone knows you can help them!

  • They are a great supplement to your regular workshops and help to widen your community reach.
  • Can be a helpful boost during a slow period, like the holiday season.
  • Act as a second touchpoint (with your Breakthrough ads) for your cold audience
  • Leverage someone else's Know, Like, and Trust to build your email list by using theirs

Create a New Partner

  1. In Breakthrough, navigate to the top right and click the Settings gear.
  2. Click Partners, then click Add New Partner.
  3. Enter the Partner Business Name without spaces, ie. PartnerBusinessName.
  4. Enter the Partner's First Name and Last Name.
  5. Enter the Partner Address (Line 1), including building number, street, suite number, etc., where the Captured Audience Workshop (CAWs) will be hosted.
  6. Enter the partner address Zip Code, City, and State.
  7. Enter the partner’s Phone number to call.
  8. Upload a Partner Image.
  9. Enter a Partner Headline (example: John Doe and Chad Madden Present)
  10. Optional: Enter a custom landing page video featuring you and your partner in Your Workshop Landing Page Video (Youtube URL) for (Funnel). Leave blank to have your landing page auto-populate with your standard workshop video.
  11. Click Save.

Schedule a Partner Workshop

  • After you've followed the above steps to add a Partner, use the blue "Add New Partner Workshop" button to create your workshop:

What's the difference between a CAWs and a Partner Workshop?

  • Nothing! CAWs means Captured Audience Workshop. You'll see them referenced throughout the site and in our discussions, but they are the same thing.

How to Get Partners

  • If you have a mutual connection, an introduction would be best. If you are part of the same organization, an in-person or virtual networking event may give you the best opportunity. If they are a cold outreach, email may be your only option. For any method, approaching them about a partnership follows the same structure.
    • Build trust (don’t be overly aggressive or too generic). Find a connection that grabs their attention. This is why you researched them. (Example: Three of my patients (Mary, Beth, and Joe) are employees of your school district. They recommended I speak to you now that your new insurer covers PT and could help more teachers.)
    • Put the partner first. Make the win compelling for them. The win may vary based on the business: some businesses will be excited for you to educate and help their clients, and others may want a similar opportunity to offer a service to your clients.
    • Clear CTA with a question mark. They should recognize that you are asking a question and be able to answer with a clear 'yes' or 'no'. (Example: would you be interested in learning more about the Low Back Pain workshop we did recently?)
  • Use the email templates attached at the bottom of this page as guidelines when emailing a new partner.

Partner Landing Pages

  • When sending out the landing page, be sure you're sending the correct Partner link.
  • Partner landing pages are at the very bottom of your Preview Links page and will include the partner business name in the URL.

Partner Advertising

  • Breakthrough does not run advertising for Partner workshops
  • Grab the landing page link and give your partner a draft of an email with the link they can send out to their email list and followers. The easier you make it, the more likely they are to spread the word. You can get creative here: design a flyer, write an email, make a video with them for their FB Page, etc.
