What is an Email Broadcast?

The Email Broadcast feature allows you to send an email out to your entire email list. Broadcast emails are meant to be simple announcement emails and do not currently support dynamic tokens or attachments.

For this reason, we recommend limiting your broadcasts to simple content like:

  • Severe inclement weather
  • Practice emergencies
  • Special hours

Note: Do not use Email Broadcast to do anything Breakthrough does for you—workshop reminders, as a replacement for Monthly Campaigns, or patient phase emails.

How to Send an Email Blast:

  1. Click Reactivation on the navigation bar, then click Email Broadcast.
  2. If you have multiple locations, select which location list you'd like to broadcast to by using the location drop-down at the top left of Breakthrough.
  3. Click Schedule Email Blast.
  4. Select the Send Date and Time.
  5. Enter email Subject.
  6. Enter email Body.
  7. Click Schedule Email Blast.

What time do broadcast emails send?

You can select a date and specific time for your emails to be sent. We recommend sending emails between 9-11 AM local time.

Can I save my email blasts or preview them after scheduling?

Currently, no. Our Product team is developing the functionality to save email blasts as templates and we hope to see this feature in early 2024!

Can I attach a PDF or Picture to my email?

The broadcast feature does not currently support attachments, but we will provide this functionality with the expansion of the broadcast tool.

Images can be included by using the copy/paste feature on your keyboard (command+C / command+V for Macs and control+C / control+V on Windows).
