Why do some leads have 7 scheduled follow-ups?

  • The Breakthrough system provides an automated follow-up cadence to take the guesswork out of how many times to call a lead. The automated plan is shown in the table below.
  • Follow-ups not completed within 90 days will automatically close and be removed from your Follow Up page.

Customizing Follow-Up Plans

  • Follow-up plan timing, touchpoints, and type can be customized with help from support. If you want to add or remove a step to your follow-up cadence please contact support@getbreakthrough.com or discuss with your CSM.
  • Support cannot remove a follow-up plan completely; however, it is something our development team is planning to release in 2024!

Completing Follow-Up Tasks

  • All contacts with a manual or automated follow-up task will automatically appear on the Follow Up page when the task is due.
  • Remove tasks by updating contacts on the Follow Up page
  • It's important to make sure that you're logging your follow-ups from the Follow-Up page in Breakthrough because that will directly affect your Follow Up Metrics.
  • Contacts will automatically clear from the Follow-Up page once you've updated the status and clicked the 'Log & Complete' button at the bottom of their follow-up. If you're not seeing them removed, double-check that you're logging accurately.

Manual Follow-Up Tasks

  • Manual Follow Ups allow you to add a custom follow-up. These are great for times when you connect with a lead and they ask you to call back at a specific time or ask that you text them instead of call.
  • They will show on your Follow Up page the same as other follow-ups, and they need to be completed just the same.

Survey and Report Follow-Ups

When following up with these types of leads, we’ve found it most effective to think along the following lines:

  • Reach them where they’ve already requested to receive content: their email address.
  • Try to offer them what they’ve already shown to be interested in: free information!
  • Invite them to the workshop: Include a custom URL to your landing page in your email.
  • Ask them to respond to your email on how you can personalize the workshop for them.

Call Scripts

To help support your team and drive more conversions from leads, Breakthrough offers various call scripts that you can use for follow-ups. You are welcome to use these scripts in whatever ways work best for you!
