Frequently Asked Questions

I got an email that my Meta or Facebook page has been restricted or banned. What should I do?

Forward the email to support@getbreakthrough.com. Do not respond or click any links in the ad. Nine times out of ten, this is a phishing email and is not legitimate. If the email is legitimate, Breakthrough will work with Meta on your behalf to resolve any restrictions. This is one of the services we provide to you for running your ads with us!

What can I do to make sure I don't violate any ad terms if I am posting on my Facebook page?

Meta can make it difficult to know exactly what you can and can't do on Facebook. This is why working with Breakthrough can be such a help. We have experience in helping resolve issues and we are a respected advertiser with Meta.

Some common reasons for account restrictions include:

  • If you paid to boost Meta posts (not ads) that violate Facebook policies. These posts could include anything from physical therapy content to hiring posts.
  • Using another agency to run additional ads.
  • Running Facebook ads yourself.

Can I run my own ads on Facebook or Instagram?

If Breakthrough is running ads for your practice, you cannot run additional ads yourself. They will appear in your audience’s newsfeed and negatively affect our ads’ performance and your results. This can also result in a restricted ad account.

However, you can and should self-promote! Self-promote Partner Workshops, Greatest Promotions Ever, new hires, and more all on Facebook. Just don't spend money to do advertise for it or boost any posts.

Can I Boost a post on Facebook?

Yes, with limitations. Both boosted posts and Breakthrough ads appear in your audience’s newsfeed; which means you should stick to these rules:

  • Do not boost a post with a Breakthrough landing page URL (even custom landing page URLs) in it.
  • Set your boost budget to a maximum of $100 a month.

What should I do with Leads within my Meta business account?

Ignore them! When Breakthrough's Ad Team runs "Lead Form Ads" or "Lead Generation Ads" the leads will populate in Facebook's Lead Center Inbox as well as in Breakthrough.

These leads are ready for you in Breakthrough, so you should work directly off of your follow-up page there.

Should I interact with the ads you post for me?

Sure! We recommend checking who has "liked" your ads and make sure you invite them to follow your Facebook page. You can also "like" and reply to any comments on your ads. Reach out to your CSM if you're unsure how to respond to comments.
