Paying for Your Facebook Ads

How Breakthrough Charges for Facebook Ads

Breakthrough never charges an overhead for your ads. Any charges from Meta (Facebook) are paid directly through your Ad Account. As a courtesy, when you add our team as Admins, we will facilitate making sure your payment methods are up to date and reaching out to you if there is ever an issue with your billing.

We run your ads through our Business Manager so you can reap the rewards of big budget spending with Facebook (dedicated FB rep for our ad managers, more power behind our ads, etc).

You will provide your payment details during the signup process. If you ever need to update your payment method, please email support@getbreakthrough.com.

Note: Facebook will turn ads off immediately if your payment method ever fails. We strongly recommend keeping 2 cards on file because we want to avoid Facebook turning your ads off if there is ever a billing issue on the primary card.

Understanding Facebook Charges

Your CSM will use two common phrases when it comes to Facebook charges: Ad Spend and Ad Budget

Ad Budget is the amount of money you budget to spend advertising your workshops. This is typically $1,000 USD/CAD; if you have contractual guarantees they are often contingent on your Ad Budget.

Ad Spend is the actual cost of advertising. You will get charged for your Facebook Ads:

  • When your payment threshold is reached. A payment threshold is an amount that you can spend on ads before Facebook charges you. Whenever your ad costs reach your payment threshold amount, Facebook charges you for that amount.

  • On your monthly bill date, Facebook automatically charges you for any leftover costs regardless of the amount.

It is common to see multiple charges a month from Facebook on your primary credit card on your ad account. To learn more about Facebook Ad Spend, click here.
