Troubleshooting Text Messages

I was texting with a lead, and now when I look there are no texts!


  • By default, the text inbox will show Unread Texts first. If you aren't seeing any texts in your inbox, be sure you've toggled to the different text views shown below: 



My text messages say they were sent by someone else. 

  • The sender of the text will always show as the first Admin in your Users list; however, the recipient of the text will not see this name and will only see the name of the practice.


How can I resubscribe a contact to text?


A contact who has previously unsubscribed to SMS messaging must re-subscribe to receive text messages from your practice. 


To resubscribe, the contact must agree to receive text messages in one of two ways:  

  1. An emailed link OR 
  2. Texting ‘START’ to your practice number


You can automatically send this email (Email Clean-Up Campaign) in Breakthrough. You can also text the contact via Text Inbox in Breakthrough to receive the 'START' message and get the contact resubscribed. The contact will remain unsubscribed until Breakthrough receives confirmation via text or email.
