What are Contact Sources?

  • The 'Source' column tells you where your leads are coming from.
  • You can see the contact source throughout Breakthrough: on the contact page, on the workshop registrants page, and on your Follow-Up page.

Source Types

  • Facebook Ad
  • Facebook Organic (Leads generated by your shared links and posts on Facebook)
  • Email
  • Email Replies
  • Google Search
  • Green Ink Letters
  • Newsletter
  • Newspaper
  • Partner
  • Past Patient
  • Phone Call (Leads generated from inbound phone calls to the practice’s Call Tracking number greater than 20 seconds)
  • Physician Referral
  • Radio
  • Walk-In
  • Direct Mail
  • Friend / Family Referral
  • YouTube
  • TikTok (Leads generated by TikTok ads)
  • Other (Leads generated from custom URL sources)

What are Custom Sources?

  • Custom sources can be used to track marketing efforts outside of Breakthrough.
  • You should create a custom source for:
    • Website links
    • Newsletter links
    • Organic social media posts
    • QR codes

How to Create a Custom Source

  • Click the Settings gear, then click Preview Links.
  • Click on the workshop link you'd like to create a custom URL for (the link will open in a new tab)
  • On the workshop tab, highlight and replace preview=true in your address bar with source=source name

Example: If you wanted to track leads who use the link from your newsletter, you would replace 'preview=true' with 'source=newsletter'
  • Hit Enter on your keyboard, then bookmark your custom landing page URL. Now you can share it wherever you'd like!
